Who’s behind Being My Best

Julie Witt, Associate Licensed Professional Counselor and creator of Being My Best

Julie Witt, ALPC-MHSP

Associate Licensed Professional Counselor and creator.

Julie is a counselor who kept noticing the same thing between appointments: people had more to say than a weekly hour could hold, and the hardest moments rarely arrive on schedule.

She built Being My Best so that the reflection she values in her counseling work — Adlerian curiosity about the patterns we live by, and, informed by the theory of attachment-based EFT, attention to the tender feeling underneath them — could be available anytime and from the privacy of your own device (mobile phone or computer).

Her role

Julie is an Associate Licensed Professional Counselor (ALPC-MHSP) and the creator of Being My Best. She shaped Magnolia’s voice, the questions she asks, and the pace she keeps — drawing on the same two traditions that guide her counseling work, described in full on our approach page.

Why she built it

The hardest moments rarely arrive on schedule. A difficult conversation replays itself at eleven at night; a familiar ache surfaces on an ordinary Tuesday, days before the next appointment. Being My Best exists so that reflection can be available in those hours — unhurried, private, and genuinely curious about the patterns you live by.

Her hope for you

Her hope is simple: that you leave each session a little more honest with yourself, and a little braver about reaching for the people who matter to you.

What this is not

Being My Best is not a substitute for licensed professional counseling or crisis care. If you are in crisis, please see our crisis resources page for immediate help.
